RECTOR OF PITIRIM SOROKIN SYKTYVKAR STATE UNIVERSITY VISITED THE CENTER FOR CONTINUING IMPROVEMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL EXCELLENCE

Syktyvkar hosted the opening of the Center for Continuing Education of Pedagogical Workers of the Komi Republic. This event became one of the main events taking place within the framework of the educational forum “Education. State. Society”, reports the Ministry of Education and Science of the Komi Republic. Rector of Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University visited the opening ceremony. The New Center will become the core of a unified regional system of scientific and methodological support for academic teaching staff. It will provide targeted support for the leaders and teachers of educational organizations, provide them with the opportunity to continuously improve their professional skills. Individual educational routes will be built taking into account the subject and methodological deficiencies of a particular teacher.

At the opening ceremony of the Center, Deputy Chairperson of the State Council of the Komi Republic Valentina Zhideleva, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Komi Republic Natalya Yakimova and Rector of the Komi Republican Institute for the Development of Education Galina Kitaygorodskaya made a welcoming speech.

The center was created as a structural subdivision of the Komi Republican Institute for the Development of Education. The Institute is the flagship of the education system, a leader in methodological support for the management and teaching staff of the Komi Republic. Its prime objective is scientific, methodological and personnel support for the implementation of the state policy in the field of education on the territory of the republic in accordance with state tasks in the field of education, with a social order and based on the needs of the development of the regional education system and its subjects.

The presentation of the Center was made by the Rector of the Komi Republican Institute for the Development of Education Galina Kitaygorodskaya. She told about the Center’s assignments and initiatives, introduced its team and those present to the Center’s website and the platform for individual support of teachers “Teachers’ Personal Account”.

 

“The Center is a new educational space. Its creation is predetermined by the tasks of the national project “Education”. Today, the task of the Center will be to accompany every teacher of the Republic. The prime objective is targeting, individual support of teachers. In the new space there is both the new equipment and methodologists who have completed federal training. We invite every teacher and leader to our Center. This is a unique opportunity to improve your qualifications and join an individual educational route”, said the Rector of the Komi Republican Institute for the Development of Education Galina Kitaygorodskaya.

 

The participants and guests of the ceremony were presented with new modern equipment in the renovated classrooms of the Center. To ensure the comfortable work of teachers, the Center has created zones of coworking, group counseling, extracurricular communication, and tutor spaces. It is also equipped with high-tech and multifunctional equipment for video conferencing, webinars, panel discussion and other events, including online. Teachers at the Center will be trained through exclusive additional educational programs that combine the best innovative practices of world education. The training will take place through internships, horizontal learning technologies using the resources of networked pedagogical communities.
